Always a decision. Every time I go to the grocery store I run into this dilemma. The toilet paper dilemma. There are two sides to this issue, do I buy the more expensive, softer Toilet paper, because it's one of those simple ways to treat yourself everyday; or do I buy the inexpensive TP to save money, and, after all you're just using it to finish your business and flush it down the toilet anyway. on one hand, I like to have the nice soft TP around the house if we have guests. So I do purposely supply it in the guest bathroom when family come to stay. I know I always appreciate soft TP when I'm occupied in someone else's powder room. but for everyday, while I do believe in treating my family to a pleasant soft tissue in the rest room as well. How mortified I am when I find my 3 year old flushing wads of hte good stuff for fun!
I was discussing this dilemma with my brother who provided an interesting viewpoint from his own personal experience. HE was shopping at Sams club in need of toilet paper. weighing the cost options of the mega packs, the nice soft TP was a few dollars more than the club brand. being thrifty as most of us are, he chose the generic toilet paper. after getting home and trying it out he told me he wished he would have paid the extra and upgraded, but for now he's stuck with 48 rolls. ..
So, I haven't been swayed completely by the pros and cons of this matter. so, I have been forced to compromise. Sometimes I give in to my sensible side and buy the less expensive brand. Other times I splurge for that cozy good stuff. One of my biggest pet peeve, is when I do spend an extra buck or two, and I get home to find out that the 2 ply TP is actually 2 ply of hte paper thin stuff! because there isn't really a way to squeeze the TP for softness through the packaging plastic. In conclusion, it's always a toss up in the TP aisle: To pay for soft vs. pay less for cheap TP. At least the question isn't To wipe or not to wipe. What do you prefer?

To wipe, or not to wipe? After growing up with the cheap stuff all my life, I decided to splurge on the good stuff. Now the dilemma is whether or not I even bother wiping if the cheap stuff is there. At least poo isn't going to chafe me.
If you haven't been swayed yet, you go ahead and buy the cheap stuff. Don't come crying to my when you're wiping your bum raw with it. :P
