Welcome Hanzel and Gretel

For Family Home Evening last week we decorated the gingerbread house. The kids had lots of fun, and it turned out really cute. Santa on top of his sleigh is donning his night-vision goggles. Then we all enjoyed some Hot Chocolate when we were through and admired our work.

Baby Shower Gifts

I've been busy making baby gifts for some friends and wanted to share a few photos. I followed some great tutorials to make the Diaper Wipey Case, Diaper & wipe case holder, burp rags, and then made my own bows, flower clips, and crocheted hat. I just love makin' stuff.

Here's what my good friend recieved who just had her 3rd baby girl on Friday:

Crocheted hat with a flower clipped on (that she can wear separate from the hat later).
This bright pink bow clipped onto a headband.
A few other goodies, like these Amy Butler prints made into burp rags, wipe cases, and hair bows. Now I just have to hurry up and finish makin' stuff for our new baby, since I've only got about 3 weeks to go!

Its that time of year again...

We had a special visitor at our ward Christmas Party.

Mongo

These are for posted for posterity, and for anyone who wants to get a good laugh:-) Like most pregos, I tend to get camera shy when I'm very pregnant, and I realized I don't have any pics of me pregnant with the other 2 kids. So here I am with Baby #3 in the oven. About 7 months along. Those horizontal stripes are so flattering!*wink* Little L did a pretty good job as my photographer- I made her stand on a chair so I wouldn't look quite so huge from the bottom up!

Rockin Around the Christmas Tree

I'm liking my Christmas Tree a little more this year than last year, it needed a little more "razzle dazzle." Last year we only had it up for 2 weeks so I chose not to get any new Christmas decor. This year however, I feel much more motivated. I still need more glittery-lime ribbon for garland and more sparkly gold stuff on top and throughout the tree, but this is a fairly decent improvement from last year. It seems like we must have broken a lot of ornaments last year too, as there isn't as many, and there are no ornaments on the back of the tree (but just don't look back there, ok?:-) I admit I'm still enjoy the traditional red/green/gold color scheme, mainly because I'm stickin with the "use what I've got" mentality. So here's a little tree comparison from last year.
2008:

(I had to put this pic in to remind me of what I used to look like before this giant Buddha belly. I will only be round and pregnant for a few more weeks:-)

2009: This is looking better with the bow and sparkly topper I made. I want to get more, but I think Micheal's may have run out. (Note to self-- buy more all at once next year!)

I put some of my ornaments in these acpocothey (sp??) jars, which look nice, but I can't decide if I want to put them back on the tree to fill it up.
