Duct Tape Festival

This weekend we attended the local annual Duct Tape Festival. That's right, there's a whole festival about the stuff. First a parade, all the floats constructed of Duct Tape, followed by the fair with sculptures made of Duct Tape, crafts for the kids to make (out of, what else, duct tape), and what's a day at the fair without funnel cake?

Lil-L made a purse and a rose, and D-Roo decided he also wanted a purse, so he chose a masculine green duct tape.

One surprise guest was present and was kind enough to pose for a photo.

That's about all the excitement we can handle for now.

Spidermans' Birthday

Happy 3rd Birthday to my little Spiderman who shoots his webs. We were going to make a spiderman cake but when the cake molds were out at the store he insisted on Lightning McQueen. I was happy

that after all the time I put into it he actually looked at it for a long time, so it was worth the effort.

It took him about 10 tries before he finally figured out how to aim his blowing at the candles, which was fun to watch. He's Big Boy, and really enjoying doing things all by himself. Even announcing when he has to go potty and using his pull ups. He is the funnest little guy, always putting his spiderman shoes on first thing in the morning. He is very attached to any jacket, which he thinks he has to wear it all the time, regardless of the weather. He loves his cars, kicking his soccer ball, wrestling, yogurt and applesauce with cinnamon in it. He had a great birthday, We love you Buddy!
