My second favorite treat after chocolate chip cookies has got to be ice cream. As a teenager my mom thought I was too skinny, so everynight she would let me scoop up a bowl, in hopes of fattening me up:-) I stock ice cream faithfully in my freezer, my favorite flavor is Dryers' Chocolate. However, it is a little pricey so I usually keep the craving in order with Meadow Gold's Chocolate, Mint chocolate Chip, or Vanilla (never plain, always with chocolate or caramel topping, or both). I also love banana splits, root beer floats, but not cake and icecream, or ice cream cake, and lets not get started about the the brownie w/ ice cream on top, oddly though I love them each separately. Aside from these few unpalettable combos I do believe in mixing ice cream with other wonderful components. One of our favorite places to end a date or go for a treat is Coldstones Creamery! Go to http://www.coldstonecreamery.com/ and sign up for the free ice cream on your birthday club! I've signed up the kids, M and myself. I always get a like it or love it chocolate with cookie dough mixed in--the best of both worlds. Now that its spring time, I'm sure I'll be enjoying Coldstone treats much more frequently-- have an Ice-day!

Awesome! I'm totally joining the birthday club. I love cold stone. I totally hear ya on the ice cream cake--not a huge fan of that.
ReplyDeleteI too love Coldstone Creamery. YOu should alert them to your blog so that they realize what good advertising you are giving the (For FREE, I might add). Maybe they'll give you MORE free ice cream just for mentioning them in your blog...if they don't, maybe you're husbands first secret mission would be to eliminate the CEO that doesn't give you more free ice cream....hmmmm......
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I'm not a huge ice cream fan.. but when I was pregnant last year I craved it allllll the time! But I do like coldstone because if I'm going to have ice cream it needs to have big chuncks of brownies!
ReplyDeleteI so remember that! Oh how I loved the ice cream at your house!
